CONFERENCES & SEMINARS
Alcohol and other drugs have claimed untold numbers of friends and loved ones, many of whom belong to our churches. Illicit sex, sexually transmitted diseases, poor parenting skills, and the like, weaken the lives of many Christians and mar their witness for Christ. Across the landscape, Christian teens are taking on the ways and habits of the world. Like their non-Christian peers they seem to possess little idea as to where such paths ultimately end up.
Concerned by these social ills, churches are asking, how do we effectively address this ruining of the lives of our members?
Indeed, the church must confront these issues with a solid biblical base, along with up-to-date, accurate information. Of the various ways of doing this, one of the most effective is through seminars. The advantage of a Bible-based seminar is threefold:
1. In-depth focus on the specific topic
2. Opportunity for personal involvement and participatory learning
3. Knowledgeable resource to help Christians live more fruitful and productive lives for Christ
For over twenty years Evangelist Porter has presented seminars to thousands of youth and adults across the country. His seminars are designed to strengthen Christians in God's Word. Each presentation illustrates the natural as well as the eternal consequences of a life turned over to drugs, immorality and other practices rejected by Scripture.
Evangelist Porter began conducting seminars as an adjunct to his 30 years of pulpit and street ministry. "I saw Christians continually wanting to know more about certain topics that many other ministers and I simply could not adequately address over the pulpit." He says. His specially designed seminars were very well received.
For over 35 years he's worked extensively with youth in Chicago, Los Angeles and the State of Illinois. During the past seven years alone He's presented gang awareness trainings to school administrators and entire student bodies in Middle, Jr. High and High Schools. He's also provided trainings to students, faculty and area wide educators at Colleges and Universities. He's conducted parent trainings, as well as trainings to prevention professionals from around the state.
His Bible-based seminars exhort Christians to follow the precepts and principles of Scripture. Christ is lifted up as the sole solution to the worldly challenges that confront us all.
A Bible based, Christ centered, seminar at your church, may be what you need to effectively address certain issues like alcohol, illicit drugs, promiscuity and sexually transmitted diseases, street gangs, parenting, etc. Linking with another church, or group of churches, could provide for maximum results. For a seminar with an evangelistic outreach, consider making it available to the community at large. Seminars may also be conducted in collaboration with other churches or ministries.spoar, or seminar series, through your church or ministry rm
