"Save Yourself"

What I am about to say will not bring forth the admiration and praises of men. It will likely only bring on their criticism and reproach. Nevertheless, I have been pressed to say it. I am stunned with dismay as I observe the things going on in the world toay. Yet I will not focus on the world, but America. For the world, as I see it, will last only a little longer than America.

I speak not as a prophet or a man with a vision from heaven. There are those who have received such visions. All I have is common sense and the Bible. If good people flew in an aircraft with a bad pilot then all those good people will go down with the bad pilot. In like manner, if the most wonderful people around all rode together on a 16 deck luxury cruise liner with a mindless captain and crew. These wonderful people would perish at the hands of those at the helm. In each case the passengers must exit before tragedy strikes or perish when it goes down.

The United States is like a gigantic aircraft high up in the sky. Yet it has run out of fuel. Strangely though, it still looks like it's flying. However, it's not flying at all. It's out of fuel. It is simply gliding along with impressive wings, in confident pride. Yet the country is out of "fuel" and rapidly loosing altitude. It's judicial, executive and legislative engines have all failed. They no longer operate to propel the nation in the paths of rightness.

Engines require fuel. Oddly, our nation no longer believes in the "fuel" that made it rise up in the first place. The high octane of the Holy Bible and its combustionable oil of righteousness. The hot-burning butane of godly character, integrity and the rich kerosene of constitutional law and morality have widely been rejected and unwelcome. The nation, a mother ship of power and great wealth and prosperity, military and political might, loaded with passengers from around the world, has gone and jettisoned its moral and spiritual fuels. Its captains of government have decreed, we don't need that kind of fuel any more. We can fly as high as we want, and achieve whatever we want without it. Dependency on God and ethics and character are out-dated. Forget them. This is the new age. Trust the power and wisdom of government! We will get you there.

Meanwhile the nations of the world gaze up at this huge mother ship in the sky, gliding aloft without fuel, without God, without morals, and with no regard for its national or spiritual heritage. With its nose in the air it glides on ignoring all reason and sense. The laws of physics have no meaning here, though they clearly state that an object can go only so long and so far on empty air. Eventually the "ship" will come down. That decent started over fifty years ago in America. It's evidenced now by distressed housing, lack of jobs, poor economy, no morals or love for our neighbors, abandonment of our Constitutional law, disloyalty to our national friends like Israel, and churches full of "Christians" without Christ.

The hired helmsmen of government and religion have nothing better for the soul of our nation than to pump in more empty air. The things that made America great, and rise up like an eagle, are now banned by the captains of government and their first officers, the mass media, big business, and education; along with its hidden ground control crew - the elite international bankers and financiers. All passengers and crew, however, must stay quiet, though they plainly see the doom being brought upon us. Like lambs to the slaughter they follow the god of political correctness, that insists you remain in front of your TV, guzzle down every kind of food, sexual immorality, addictive drug, mindless entertainment you can quickly consume, glibly content that all will magically work out for you. The devil's real magic is not what he does on stage but what is done to the audience.

Years ago I prayed and strongly urged others to pray for America and its fallen condition, that the nation's engines would be fired up once more and we would return to being "One nation under God." Now I strongly urge all who will hear to pray for yourselves. In these days of ever increasing darkness pray that you may escape the sure consequences that are looming eerily upon this country right now.

"And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation." (Ac.2:40)

For years I refused to write on any political matter. Now I must. It is a matter of life and death; and hundreds of millions are at stake. The America we once knew is no more. Nor will it ever be again. A free nation cannot rise without God; nor go on without Him. The Bible documents the fall of ancient Israel, how it came as a terrible and bitter blow to its people. Yet only after passionate warnings from her own prophets, sent by God, before the Lord brought His hand against them. Understand this. Israel was a nation of God's own uniquely chosen people. These were His people. Yet their continuous rebellion against Him brought upon them a judgement so severe, that nothing in heaven or on earth could save them. In fact their very own prayers were rejected by God. "Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble." (Jer 11:14)

Bear with me for a moment. Consider, if the God of heaven would not listen to anyone's prayer to deliver His very own people Whom He loved, and yet who continually disregarded Him, how will He be persuaded to hear on behalf of our own nation whose belly is full of every unclean and wicked desire on every level of its existence?

Again, I repeat. I do not speak as a prophet. I speak simply as a man who has read his Bible and plainly sees the signs of the times that are all around us.
Many know me as a man of prayer. I have genuinely prayed for people for many years. I pray for nations. I pray for God's healing and mercy and restoration. I pray for His Salvation and deliverance for many. For over 30 years I have given my heart and mind and breath and life to God in prayer. I desire to pray only as His Holy Spirit leads me. Now when the Lord plainly moves me not to pray, or shuts the door against my prayers, then I must cease. I do not pray for things that I know God will not listen to. Such prayers are useless.

"Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee." (Jer.7:16)

America, hailed as "One nation under God", is not so any more. Her soul has died to God. The Lord has made me to bear witness to this. Many others are also witnesses. Does this mean that all her citizens are wicked? Absolutely not. There are many outstanding people in America and many wonderful things happen here every single day all over the country. Yet the captains of government, the leaders of industry and education, all (offspring of the general population) in their rank and file order, are bound together in the sewer of wickedness and have no care for God. In politically correct order they all bow to their chief Captain, the Devil - the dragon of blood, the deceiver of all men. (cf. Rev.12:9)

We citizens have hired our own legal predators to stalk and consume us. They have no heart or mind to do otherwise. Wicked they are; and in wickedness they will increase. (Is.26:10; Rev.22:11) The error is ours as a nation. We have refused to stand up and defend what is Godly and right. If we are not for our own nation, and we outright reject God, then who can save us?

Some will certainly say I am wrong. Dear Lord, if only I were wrong. I truly do not wish to be right on this. I only say what I see. Clearly we have appointed leaders, and listened to voices, who would captain over us and merrily guide us into destruction, like the Pied Piper of Hamelin.

Now there are those who reject the idea of divine judgement. For you, let's lay aside God's hand of judgement for the time being. Let's take a peek at those who willfully reject God. A sea captain, in spite of common sense and strong warnings, guides his ship into overwhelmingly violent waters. As expected he, and all who are with him, perish. There is sadness for all the deaths; yet no one is baffled as to why they died. Ignoring the God he doesn't want in his life, man purposely directs his life and that of others into proven paths of disaster. Look at America in the hands of leaders whose only true "god" is themselves, driven by greed. Look at the sea of citizens, continually oppressed by them, whose lives increase with more distress and despair. Leave God out of the picture if you like and turn your attention to the workers of wickedness without wisdom, without conscience and without God. The result is the indescriminate destruction of everyone - good and bad. Yet God targets His destruction only at the wicked. (Gen.18:23-32)

If men have no faith in the Creator of heaven and earth then let them have faith in what they will. Let them stand on their own beliefs and reap what it brings. If two plus two equal four then men without God equal fools. (Ps.14:1,16)

It takes no prophet to see these things; nor does it require heaven's gate to swing open and reveal it. Simply stick your head out the window, or turn on any TV news broadcast or pick up any news paper, listen to any radio station. There are endless reports everywhere about what is going on around us. Yet, in light of all the overwhelming evidence, revealing the true state of our nation (not to mention the world) I will certainly defer to any true prophet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, or any true saint who has heard from heaven, if the God of Truth has told them something different than what I have said here, I will gladly yield and humbly bow to the Voice of the Lord.

Yet by my own eyes and ears, continually seeing the signs of the times and knowing what I know from my own Bible, and through the Spirit of Him Who lives in me, I say straight forward, America is dead; and God is about to bury it. (Gal. 6:7-8)

As children of heaven one's hope cannot be in America or any other earthly country. Your hope can only be in Christ Jesus. Though we live in the United States we cannot be of it. Our life can only be of God, in Christ. Needless to say, the prayers of God's saints must be steadfast for the people of this nation, and every other nation, that they may run to Christ to save themselves from this wicked generation. Pray with earnest desire for God's righteousness in the land, and for the Salvation of the lost! Seek the Lord more than ever for His mercy and grace. America is dead to God; yet God Himself is not dead. He is very much alive. He was alive and well far before America was ever formed. He is wonderfully alive right now, and will be forever. He is miraculously alive to everyone who calls upon His Name in faith. (Rom.10:13)

The true King in all His glory will come; and His will shall be done in this earth as it is in heaven, as He has declared. (Matt.6:10) This is our lively hope. Look up and see it.

The captains of government and industry are temporarily at the helms of a "ship" perishing at their hands. But God is at the helm of a kingdom lasting forever in His hand. To the elect who would mourn the fall of a nation, Jesus' says, "Let the dead bury their dead." To those who will have eternal life, He says, "follow me". (Matt.8:22)

Many have prayed for spiritual revival in America. Conditions are truly ripe. For only dead things are revived (or brought back to life again). Even so, this nation will not live unto God as a nation. Only some will be made alive to Christ. It is this remnant that will be preserved, not the general population, only a remnant. America will pass away like other dead nations. While the world mourns her loss the righteous will be vigilant about their Father's business, laying up treasures in heaven.

"Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day. And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage." (Ezra 9:7-8)

"Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it." (Eze 14:22)

What are we to do in light of all this, one would ask? The very same things we have been commanded by God from the beginning. Listen to the Words of Christ. (Matt.17:5) Follow after God. (Eph.5:1) Do the works He commanded. (Matt.5:16; Rom.13:3; Eph.2:10; Tit.3:8) The world may be dead yet we are alive through Christ. We therefore fight the good fight of faith in Him. (1Tim.6:12) We seek the salvation of the lost. We pursue the increase of God's Kingdom and righteousness as He has commanded. (Matt.6:33) We strive to bring God's oil of righteousness into our schools, government, homes and industry, in spite of their condition. Why do we work so hard and not just give up? Because the Lord Jesus has commanded us to be His light and salt in this dark and dead world; (Matt.5:13-14) and to be faithful in so doing until the very end. (Matt.10:22; Lu.18:10) Our true hope as Christians is not in an earthly nation. Our hope is in Christ and His eternal Kingdom.
The signs of the times are unmistakable. Many (as if speaking from God) flatly deny that evil is evil, and out rightly ignore its consequences. Nevertheless, almighty God Who is holy and pure will soon bring down His unstoppable heel of judgement upon all evil. (Eze.22:23)

Therefore run to the Savior now! Run to Jesus, God's Son! That you may be saved! Go not the way of the wicked. Be not deceived or seduced by the worldly, even the worldly religious. In all these things many will perish. Give your heart and mind and soul to the Son of glory, the Lord Jesus Christ.
